Why Christ feels the same way too. Those who honor his mother honor Him. Mary is not the central figure of salvation, Christ is. But we do well when we listen to Mary, as she tells us “Do what ever He tells you. You need to let go of prejudice against Mary, she is your mother too since you are Christ.
Not only does the Catholic Church ask us take lesson by observing her, but we ask her to teach us how to completely surrender to the Lord, as she did….You could not have put it better. Thanks
well Mary didn’t die on the cross nor came to rescue mankind from sin’s damnation. I’m sure Mary must have lived certain years on earth after the death of Christ. On the day of Pentecost, the Bible recorded that the apostles Where in one accord and prayed to the Father just as Christ commanded .They didn’t have to go to a mortal being who was (if I’m right )still alive to receive the Holy Spirit.. The simply went to the Father through the Son – Jesus. And to what you said.I’m not out of way here just simply to clarify. Many are dying and languishing in Sin and all we do is argue, the Devil has come to sow a seed of misconceptions and divisions in the body of Christ and we’re all blinded to see.. well .. Kavfer, if we Christians are to know the brotherhood of Jesus Christ, we must come to know the mother whom we share with Jesus. Yes, Mary was standing beside her Son on the Cross with the apostle John. Mary lived with John after Christ death and was the Apostles praying on the day of Pentecost. Kafver, you are shifting focus. The Catholic Church believes in the scriptures, insisting there is “only one mediator between God and man, Jesus Christ”(1 Tim 2:5). Guided by the Holyspirit, The Church draws an proper inference. Christ was at liberty to decide how his mediation would be applied to us. “Christ alone is the perfect mediator of God and men, inasmuch as, by his death, he reconciled the human race to God. However, nothing hinders certain others from being called mediators, in some respect, between God and man, forasmuch as they cooperate in uniting men to God, dispositively or ministerially.” After all, we mediate for others when we pray to God on their behalf, which, of course, is something, you, kavfer and your fellow fundamentalists do. This does not argue against Christ being the sole Mediator, because our modest efforts are entirely dependent on him. In a far more perfect way, Mary shares in his mediation.
I am so glad that Mario has found the truth.
How wonderful that we as Catholics believe in the communion of Saints where we on earth , the saints in heaven and the souls in purgatory who are going through the process of purification before going to heaven and coming face to face with God, are all united through the power of God. Mother Mary is always humble and would be the first to inform us that what she has is given to her by God. She helps us to come closer to a God. She prays with us and for us. In praying to Mary we are not moving away from God but towards Him , as Mary only takes us nearer to God . Jesus appointed her as our mother while on the cross just before he died, and she , Mary has faithfully carried out that role of a loving Mother who takes us towards Jesus.

then the work of the Holy spirit is useless then if all we have to do is cry to Mary to plead on our behalf to Christ… can’t we approach Him directly just as mentioned in Hebrews 4;16…was Mary there when Christ in His glory left His heavenly glory and came to die on a cross for us all even for Mary herself.,,.. He didn’t give unto the church Mary but His glory…John 17 vs 22 …you can take time to read the whole chapter..It was Christ’s prayer for the Church. See, Christ is our high priest.., The Word says ‘ we do not have an high priest that cannot be touched by our infirmities ‘.. Oh, we definitely can approach Christ directly, just that it is so much more powerful when two people are pleading for something and when the second person is the mother of the benefactor. Again, Mary always diverts all attention to her directly to God. Take time to examine these scriptures 1. “Behold, I am the handmaid of the Lord, be it done to me according to His Words”( Lk 1: 38) 2. ” All generation will call me blessed” (Lk 1:48) Mary’s own soul magnifies ( not herself) but the Lord” Lk1:46) To understand Mary, you must relate her to Christ.
Kafver, Rueben and Emeka are right, for isntance scripture records clearly Mary’s intercession with her Son during the wedding at Cana in John 2; 3-4 ” Mary finds her Son and tells him: “They have now wine.’ And Jesus said to her, O Woman, what concern is that to you and to me: My hour has not yet come.” Mary has complete confidence, knowing that her Son will do anything she asks even thought His answer seemed negative.And She says to the servents, “Do what ever he tells you” John 2:5

Looking over the vast menu of Christianities available on the web he was very quick to pare it all down to the Catholic Church. Kafver, Mary is the mother of Jesus, who, Christians,…and Muslims.. believe is the Son Of God Like every good son find it hard to deny his mother something she asks for, Jesus cannot deny anything to the woman from whose breast He suckled the milk of life and nourishment on earth. She is also a spouse of the Holy Spirit because, her pregnancy was a fruit of the Holy Spirit. Moreover, scripture shows us how by the mere asking, Mary got her Son, Jesus to perform the first miracle at the wedding at Cana. This miracle was the first public demonstration of his power. Likewise Mary’s mere asking is enough for Jesus to grant us the grace that will rescue a man from any sinful act, yes. That is why early Christian always ran to Mary’s intercession because they know she is all powerful before God.
guys I won’t want us to continue with these knowledge that has no scriptural basis .The funny thing is that just like religion It has been passed down and believed by many generations.. The truth is who told you? your priests, men in your church, or your own humanly view and explanation of what happened during the wedding at cana..let’s stop all there arguments. This was a great testimony in the goodness & greatness of our LORD & Savior JESUS CHRIST. Being a Christian myself I just don believe in any shape form or fashion that anyone protects us except our LORD & Savior. GOD gives us direct communication with him because he GOD and no one else. Mary or any of the vessels that GOD has used past or present to spread his word can not & should not be use in the same context as the King of Kings. GOD is GOD and man is man. All you mentioned is correct, it is only for people with high wisdom who will understand. the literal meaning of the Holy Quran does not give complete understanding, one needs to research through the traditions of all the Prophets.
Jesus (AS) confirms the coming of prophet Mohammad in the bible and how many Christians understand this.

We put Our Mother in her rightful place. We respect her and honour her like we were commanded to do. Mary has set an example for every woman. She has cancelled out the disobedience of Eve. She is most blessed amongst women. If you don’t know what it is to be Catholic, then I can’t expect you to understand something as wonderful as intercession. What do you think happens when you die? Does your soul become dust as well? Do you think one forgets who they are when they die? That they won’t remember their family.. That they wouldn’t continue to pray if they had a chance? And since they are already dead, wouldn’t they pray for the souls still alive?
I agree with you Dominic, in fact the bible says that all generation shall call her blessed. That’s why Catholic call Mary “Blessed virgin”
Mother Mary has no power over us but she has power over her son Jesus. Do you remember the 1st miracle of Jesus in Canaa during a wedding? They ran out of wine and Mary said this to Jesus that they ran out of wine, and He replied “Woman my time has not yet come” but Mary said to the servants “Do whatever He tells you” then Jesus turned water into wine. This is an evident that the presence of Mother Mary in catholic faith as interccessor of our prayers is very powerful because on Jesus time, even its not yet His time, he obeyed His mother. We do not worship her but we honour and respect her and for us She is an important part of our faith because without her, Jesus will not come to earth because there is no other woman as pure as her. Well said Mina. Mario seems to be a confused person. Although, he knows , The Word helped change his life, he still seems to give importance to things like Pota etc.. Pota is just like any other part of God’s creation. Not any miraculous special place. So is Mother Mary. Of course she is a Blessed chosen woman whom God chose to bring Jesus to us. We don’t worship her but be aware she is a Blessed & revered woman. We are Christians. Not Roman catholics or Anglicans etc. A person like Mario should be proud to be aware that he is a Christian & thank God for that. Not emphasize on whether is a Roman catholic or something else.

Just in reply Mina why do you think Jesus told the Blessed Virgin Mary when he was on the cross that John is from now on her son and told John that the Holy Mary is his mother? I will explain it to you if your Protestant teachers didn’t. This means that he put Mary mother to all humans. Think of it. What’s the role of a mother? Isn’t it to protect her children? And what’s the role of a child? Isn’t it to listen and obey his mother because she wants him to be saved? In addition to this explanation the Virgin Mary saves us by her strong intercession to Jesus her son just like she saved the wedding of Cana. This way Mama Mary saves us.

What would you do if someday I go to visit you, knocked the door and come in. Than greet you and neglect your mother like you neglected the Virgin mother of God and hurt her. What would be your reaction? You would punish me and won’t invite me to your house once again. This way Jesus won’t invite you to heaven where his father has lots of houses if don’t repent. May the Virgin Mary protects you from this unwanted day. But don’t get it wrong we the catholic don’t omit jesus and put mary his place. We put worship the holy Trinity before everything then Mary.

His problem is not with Islam,,,his problem is with his family who misunderstood Islam,,,Islam believes and soo respect Jesus,,but when converting he disbelieved in another Heavenly Prophet,,,at the end beliefs are just total freedom after studying whatever the human would prefer,,,that us very clear in Islam
What you miss from this is that he had no freedom. Did you actually listen? His father was ready to remove him from this earth because he converted. It5 is what your religion says to do. Kill those that reject your prophet.
